DPCS Sacred Life Hospice
I followed my heart into hospice care after what I saw what a hospice team could do for members of my own family and for several friends. I am drawn to hospice because I see the dying process as both a sensitive and underserved area in medicine today. I believe that too many individuals have a difficult experience at the end of their lives, whereas if a professional hospice team served them, that sacred part of the end of life could have been not only comfortable, but also beautiful.
As the Patient Care Services Director for Sacred Life Hospice, my goal is to ensure that our team addresses the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our hospice patients and their families. Our Sacred Life Hospice Team professionals are here to provide loving comfort, professional support, and ensure a consistent presence for our patients and families as a unit, while also being treated as individuals.
My 30 year medical background in all body systems and areas including oncology, medical-surgical, critical care, both cancer and stroke research, and hospice case management helps me to lead our team from a strong clinical point of view. I am here to ensure that as our hospice patients needs change over time, we adapt our plan of care to keep that person and family as both supported and as comfortable as we possibly can. I truly know that our Sacred Life Hospice Team of experienced and high quality individuals are the BEST.
